Honda Schedules Next Round of Recalls Earlier Than Expected
It can be frustrating to find out that you need to take care of a vehicle recall. But thanks to an aggressive push to get replacement parts from suppliers, and to a high success rate of repairs already completed, Honda is moving forward with their next round of vehicle safety recalls related to the potential for issues caused by Takata airbags.
Thanks to this diligence, Honda has been able to repair about 78% of their affected vehicles and get them back on the road, returning confidence and peace of mind to Honda owners all over the country. This airbag recall has affected automakers at every level, and currently nearly 40 million vehicles are being recalled.
Honda has taken this very seriously from the beginning, putting in major efforts to reach owners and motivate them to make appointments and get the work done, rather than just mailing letters like some automakers do.
At one point, Honda dealers were even sending teams door-to-door to meet drivers where they were, offering free pickup and delivery of vehicles that needed their airbags replaced.
It’s another chapter in Honda’s long history of prioritizing and being committed to safety.
