What Has Changed for 2019 Honda Hybrid Models?

January 22nd, 2019 by

The coming decade is looking good for hybrid cars.

As more and more automakers step to the line to deliver their own hybrid-electric offerings, more and more shoppers are appreciating what Honda has already been doing for years with its own hybrid cars–and what it’s done recently.

While for years the Honda Accord Hybrid stood out as the one option in the lineup, in just the last year or two our options have significantly expanded, as Honda added the Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid and the Honda Insight.

Let’s take a look and see what’s new for 2019 for these stylish, economical, and affordable hybrid-electric cars.

2019 Honda Accord Hybrid Sedan

In 2018, the Honda Accord Hybrid was all-new, following in the footsteps of its gas-powered sibling, the Honda Accord Sedan. That meant that the new hybrid brought a whole new design, a new cabin interior, and plenty of new features including Honda Sensing driver-assistance and safety features. Since its fresh off that redesign, there has been little change to the 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid Sedan.

2019 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid Sedan

Similar to above, the Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid was all-new for 2018, so it carries over mostly unchanged for the 2019 model-year. But here, no change is good–the model comes standard with things like heated seats and a large touchscreen display, and dual-zone climate control for preferred comforts.

2019 Honda Insight

The Honda Insight is all-new (and first-ever) for the 2019 model year, so everything about it is new for 2019! This is the third hybrid in the Honda lineup, and it’s one of the most affordable hybrid cars on the market right now. For the price, you won’t find a better-looking hybrid, either. The 2019 Honda Insight brings tons of great features and a premium cabin to the world of eco-friendly performance.
