When Can I Buy the Upcoming 2019 Honda Passport?

December 20th, 2018 by

If you were hoping to slip a new Honda Passport under the tree this year–bad news.

It’s much too big to fit under a tree.

Also, it won’t be available until after the new year.

This hopefully won’t come as too much of a surprise, since the upcoming 2019 Honda Passport only just strut its stuff at the LA Auto Show last month. Typically, from auto show to end of production line can take months or even a year–but we can expect the first 2019 Honda Passport models to start rolling out in early 2019: late winter or very early spring.

Perfect weather to test out a new SUV.

2019 Honda Passport Capabilities

The upcoming 2019 Honda Passport is a two-row, five-seater midsize SUV that will compete with models like the Ford Edge, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Hyundai Santa Fe, the Nissan Murano–and even some options like the Acura MDX and the Toyota 4Runner.

That’s how versatile this new SUV model is.

The upcoming Honda Passport will feature a standard 3.5-liter V6, and while front-wheel drive will come standard (for all-lifestyle convenience), all-wheel drive is readily available across the lineup. The Honda Passport rides higher than the Honda Pilot with which it shares a platform, boasting up to 8.4 inches of ground clearance; (7.8 inches with front-wheel drive).
